Our History
In 2021, the USMS swim club, Mahogany Mermaids, was given a unique chance to grow. We were awarded a USMS Adult Learn to Swim grant to boost our services in our community. In partnership with Miller swimming, and matching funds from Charlotte’s generous swim community, Evolutionary Aquatics was formed. USMS granted Mahogany Mermaids $5,000, and more than 40 donors pledged in excess of $8,000 in less than two days. This funded our Adult Learn to Swim program!
We are a non-profit organization that offers full transparency,
oversight and accountability.
