 We're book-ending the film with a powerful panel discussion on August 27th. Together, these programs in Charlotte aim to deepen our collective political knowledge and motivate civic participation (voting and more) among leaders working on a myriad of issues on the frontlines of our communities. In the spirit of Sankofa, let's learn from the past to enlighten us in shaping the future.

Black August x Black Philanthropy Month: Activating Freedom Fighters through Civic Education, Participation & Leadership: Panel discussion in collaboration with Cypress Fund, at Wray Ward, 5:00-7:30 p.m.

CLT GIVES BLACK: A perennial feature of Black Philanthropy Month that wraps up the monthlong celebration. It’s a special day of giving dedicated to uplifting Black-led and Black-benefitting nonprofits and is part of the nationwide online giving campaign, Give 8/28. CLT GIVES BLACK directs financial resources to historically under-funded organizations meeting local frontline needs.
